Join Estela for an exciting hands-on sculpting session at the beautiful Windrise Retreat Center. Sessions will be held outdoors on the Windrise grounds under the pergola (or inside our spacious studio if weather requires). Beginner or advanced sculptor, you will create a portrait over weekend. Firing and patina sessions arranged individually.

Agenda:

Friday – registration at 5:30 pm – dinner at 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm “creating art” seminar

Saturday: Breakfast 8:30 am. Sculpting sessions outdoors. Plenty of breaks and free time for enjoying Windrise grounds including kayaks, canoe and hiking trails,

Gourmet Lunch & Dinner. Evening seminar “Maintaining and sustaining creativity in life!”

Sunday: Continental Breakfast. Complete pieces by noon with Brunch to follow. Free time to enjoy the grounds, trails and river in the afternoon.

Sculpting classes forming at Galeria Mariposa

“Galeria Mariposa” is the studio of local artist and sculpting teacher Estela Monjo Boudreau. The studio name reflects Estela’s Argentinean heritage and her interest in the human transformative process represented by the butterfly – Mariposa in Spanish.

Classes are forming for winter and spring 2013. Adult classes run Monday 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Wednesday from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Children class is Wednesday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Private classes are available by appointment.

Tuition is $245 for the 6 weekly sessions.

Participants will finish a piece, fired and patina. Students have the option to bring their own supplies, or purchase sculpting tools and clay through the gallery.
