classes forming at Galeria Mariposa

“Galeria Mariposa” is the new gallery and studio of local artist and sculpting teacher
Estela Monjo Boudreau. Located at 20445 Mack Avenue in Grosse Pointe Woods, the studio name reflects both
Estela’s Argentinean heritage and her interest in the human transformative process represented by the butterfly –
Mariposa in Spanish.
Classes are forming to begin May 24, 2011. The class will run Tuesdays and Wednesday from
6:30 pm to 8:30 pm for 6 weeks.
The Tuesday class, beginning
May 23, will be Introduction to Sculpting.
The Wednesday class, beginning May 24, will be
Human Portraits.
Tuition is $240 for the
6 weekly sessions.
Participants will finish a piece, fired and patina. Students have the option to bring their own
supplies, or purchase sculpting tools and clay through the gallery. Summer
classes for children will be forming soon.
